حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرَةَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الل
َّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْخَذْفِ فَأَخَذَ ابْنُ عَمٍّ لَهُ فَقَالَ عَنْ هَذَا وَخَذَفَ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُرَانِي أُخْبِرُكَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ وَأَنْتَ تَخْذِفُ وَاللَّهِ لَا أُكَلِّمُكَ عَزْمَةً مَا عِشْتُ أَوْ مَا بَقِيتُ أَوْ نَحْوَ هَذَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the slingshot. A cousin of his took a stone and used it as a slingshot. He said: 'Am I not telling you that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade it, and you are still using it? By Allah, I will never speak to you again as long as I live — or for as long as I remain.'
