Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ عَبْدَ رَبِّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى أَبِي مُوسَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ

فِي شَهَادَةٍ فَقَامَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُقِمْ الرَّجُلَ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ فِيهِ أَوْ قَالَ إِذَا أَقَامَ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ فَلَا يَجْلِسْ فِيهِ وَلَا يَمْسَحْ الرَّجُلُ يَدَهُ بِثَوْبِ مَنْ لَا يَمْلِكُ

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) that he entered upon some people to testify in a case, and a man stood up from his seat for him. Abu Bakra said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man must not make another man stand from his seat and then sit in it — rather sit beside him."'
