English Translation
It was narrated from Malik ibn al-Huwayrith (may Allah be pleased with him) that he used to come to their prayer place. When the prayer was called, they said to him: 'Come forward and pray with us.' He said: 'Let one of you pray, and I will tell you why I will not lead you.' When the people had prayed, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When one of you visits a people, he should not lead them in prayer."'
