Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ الْهُجَيْمِيِّ عَمَّنْ كَانَ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كُنْتُ رَدِيفَهُ عَلَى حِمَارٍ فَعَثَرَ الْحِمَارُ فَقُلْتُ تَعِسَ الشَّيْط

َانُ فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَقُلْ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ تَعَاظَمَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي نَفْسِهِ وَقَالَ صَرَعْتُهُ بِقُوَّتِي فَإِذَا قُلْتَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَصَاغَرَتْ إِلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ أَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذُبَابٍ

English Translation

It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), from some Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'On the night of my ascension, I passed by Musa (Moses) as he was standing praying in his grave.'
