English Translation

It was narrated from Abu al-'Aliya, from one who heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'For every surah there is its due share of bowing and prostration.' Abu al-'Aliya said: 'Later I met him and told him that Ibn 'Umar used to recite multiple surahs in one rak'ah. He said he knew this man well and could recall how long ago he had narrated the hadith to him — fifty years ago.'
