Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ قَ
الَ حَدَّثَنِي بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَغَزَوْنَا نَحْوَ فَارِسَ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ بَاتَ فَوْقَ بَيْتٍ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ إِجَّارٌ فَوَقَعَ فَمَاتَ فَبَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ وَمَنْ رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ عِنْدَ ارْتِجَاجِهِ فَمَاتَ فَقَدْ بَرِئَتْ مِنْهُ الذِّمَّةُ

English Translation
It was narrated from one of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever spends the night on top of a building that has no parapet and falls and dies — responsibility is absolved from him. And whoever sails the sea when it is turbulent and dies — responsibility is absolved from him.'
