حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا سَافَرَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِي السَّفَرِ وَالْخَلِيفَةُ فِي الْأَهْلِ اللَّهُمَّ اصْحَبْنَا فِي سَفَرِنَا وَاخْلُفْنَا
فِي أَهْلِنَا اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثَاءِ السَّفَرِ وَكَآبَةِ الْمُنْقَلَبِ وَمِنْ الْحَوْرِ بَعْدَ الْكَوْرِ وَدَعْوَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ وَسُوءِ الْمَنْظَرِ فِي الْأَهْلِ وَالْمَالِ قَالَ وَسُئِلَ عَاصِمٌ عَنْ الْحَوْرِ بَعْدَ الْكَوْرِ قَالَ حَارَ بَعْدَ مَا كَانَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he traveled used to say: 'O Allah, You are the Companion in travel and the Successor in the family. O Allah, accompany us in our travel and be our Successor in our family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, from the distress of return, and from regressing after progress.'
