حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَعَفَّانُ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَدُوسٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ دَيْسَمٌ قَالَ قُلْنَا لِبَشِيرِ ابْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَةِ قَالَ وَمَا كَانَ اسْمُهُ بَشِيرًا فَسَمَّاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَشِيرًا إِنَّ لَنَا جِيرَةً مِنْ بَنِي تَمِيمٍ لَا تَشُدّ
ُ لَنَا قَاصِيَةٌ إِلَّا ذَهَبُوا بِهَا وَإِنَّهَا تَجِيءُ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ أَشْيَاءُ أَفَنَأْخُذُهَا قَالَ لَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَدُوسٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ دَيْسَمٌ عَنْ بَشِيرِ ابْنِ الْخَصَاصِيَةِ وَكَانَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَمَّاهُ بَشِيرًا فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Bashir ibn al-Khasasiyya (may Allah be pleased with him) through a man of Banu Sadus named Daysam, that he said to Bashir: 'We have neighbors from Banu Tamim who steal from our distant properties whenever we are absent, yet things from their wealth come to us.' The Prophet ﷺ told him to take what comes to you by legitimate means and leave what is unlawful.
