حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَ

خْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سِمَاكٌ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ كَانَ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤَذِّنُ ثُمَّ يُمْهِلُ فَلَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ خَرَجَ أَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the muezzin of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to call the adhan and then wait without calling the iqama until he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ come out. When he saw him, he would call the iqama.
