English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that when asked whether he used to sit in gatherings with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: 'Yes. He was long in silence and rarely laughed. His companions would recite poetry and speak of their affairs in his presence and they would laugh, and he would sometimes smile.'
