‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏إِسْرَائِيلُ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنِي ‏ ‏سِمَاكٌ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ‏ ‏جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏كَانَ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يُؤَذِّنُ ثُمَّ يُمْهِلُ ‏ ‏فَلَا يُقِيمُ حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏قَدْ خَرَجَ أَقَامَ حِينَ يَرَاهُ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that Bilal used to call the adhan for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out, Bilal would call the iqama. He would not call the iqama until he saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ emerge.
