حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَخْب

َرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَكُنْتَ تُجَالِسُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ طَوِيلَ الصَّمْتِ قَلِيلَ الضَّحِكِ وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَذْكُرُونَ عِنْدَهُ الشِّعْرَ وَأَشْيَاءَ مِنْ أُمُورِهِمْ فَيَضْحَكُونَ وَرُبَّمَا تَبَسَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sparse white hairs. When he applied oil his hair, they were not visible; when he did not apply oil, they could be seen.
