Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا س
ِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَن جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ يَقْعُدُ قَعْدَةً لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ فَيَخْطُبُ خُطْبَةً أُخْرَى عَلَى مِنْبَرِهِ فَمَنْ حَدَّثَكَ أَنَّهُ يَرَاهُ يَخْطُبُ قَاعِدًا فَلَا تُصَدِّقْهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered the sermon while standing, then sat down without speaking, then stood again and delivered a second sermon. Whoever tells you he delivered it while sitting has lied.
