حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الشَّحَّامُ حَدَّثَ

نِي مُسْلِمُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَيَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ أَحْدَاثٌ أَحِدَّاءُ أَشِدَّاءُ ذَلِقَةٌ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ بِالْقُرْآنِ يَقْرَءُونَهُ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ فَإِنَّهُ يُؤْجَرُ قَاتِلُهُمْ

English Translation

It was narrated from Muslim ibn Abi Bakra, from his father Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Soon a group will emerge from the east who recite the Quran but it does not pass their throats.'
