حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْمُسَيَّبَ بْنَ رَافِعٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ تَمِيمِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُ
رَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَأَبْصَرَ قَوْمًا قَدْ رَفَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَقَالَ قَدْ رَفَعُوهَا كَأَنَّهَا أَذْنَابُ الْخَيْلِ الشُّمَّسِ اسْكُنُوا فِي الصَّلَاةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samura (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and saw people who had raised their hands. He said: 'They are raising them like the tails of agitated horses — be still during prayer.'
