English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivered a sermon on the day of sacrifice while on a she-camel, and he kept speaking here and there, addressing each group. He then said: 'What day is this?' We fell silent, thinking he would call it by another name. He said: 'Is it not the Day of Sacrifice?' We said: 'Yes.' He then said: 'What month is this?' and we fell silent thinking he would give it another name.
