حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ خَرَجْتُ فِي جَنَازَةِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ فَجَعَلَ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ يَسْتَقْبِلُونَ الْجِنَازَةَ فَيَمْشُونَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ وَيَقُولُونَ رُوَيْدًا بَارَكَ اللَّهُ فِيكُمْ قَالَ فَلَحِقَنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ مِنْ طَرِيقِ المِرْبَدِ فَلَمَّا رَأَى أُولَئِكَ وَمَا يَصْنَعُونَ حَمَلَ
عَلَيْهِمْ بِبَغْلَتِهِ وَأَهْوَى لَهُمْ بِالسَّوْطِ وَقَالَ خَلُّوا فَوَالَّذِي كَرَّمَ وَجْهَ أَبِي الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنَّا لَنَكَادُ أَنْ نَرْمُلَ بِهَا وَقَالَ يَحْيَى مَرَّةً لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from the father of 'Uyayna ibn 'Abd al-Rahman that he said: 'I attended the funeral of 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Samura. Some men from his family came forward to meet the funeral procession and walked backwards, saying: "Slowly, may Allah bless you." Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) caught up with us from the direction of al-Mirbad, and when he saw them and what they were doing, he charged at them on his mule and raised his whip at them, saying: "Move away! By the One Who honored the face of Abu al-Qasim ﷺ, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not do this."'
