Hadith #71
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ ذَكَ
رْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ عِنْدَ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ فَقَالَ مَا أَنَا بِطَالِبِهَا إِلَّا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ بَعْدَ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ تِسْعٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ يَبْقَيْنَ أَوْ آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from the father of 'Uyayna that he said: 'Laylat al-Qadr was mentioned to Abu Bakra (may Allah be pleased with him) and he said: I will not seek it except in the last ten nights, after something I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I heard him say: "Seek it in the last ten nights — on the ninth remaining, or the seventh remaining, or the fifth remaining, or the third remaining, or the last night."'
