حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ عَنْ خَبَّابٍ قَالَ قِيلَ لَهُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَال

ْعَصْرِ قَالَ نَعَمْ قِيلَ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ مَعْنَاهُ

English Translation

It was narrated that someone asked: 'How did you recognize that the Prophet ﷺ was reciting in Zuhr and Asr?' He replied: 'By the movement of his beard.'
