حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ خَلَّادُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ثَوْرِ بْنَ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَاتِ الْغَنَمِ فَرَخَّصَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَبَاتِ الْإِبِلِ فَنَهَى عَنْهُ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا وَسُئِلَ عَنْ الْوُضُوءِ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ فَقَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ was asked about praying in sheepfolds, and he permitted it. He was asked about praying in camel pens, and he forbade it. He was asked about performing ablution after eating camel meat, and he said: 'Perform ablution.' He was asked about ablution after eating mutton, and he said: 'If you wish, perform ablution; if you wish, do not.'
