حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي وَعَمِّي قَالَا ثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ الْوَجِيهِ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُو
لَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ مَعَ جَنَازَةِ ثَابِتِ بْنِ الدَّحْدَاحَةِ عَلَى فَرَسٍ أَغَرَّ مُحَجَّلٍ تَحْتَهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ سَرْجٌ مَعَهُ النَّاسُ وَهُمْ حَوْلَهُ قَالَ فَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى فُرِغَ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَعَدَ عَلَى فَرَسِهِ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ يَسِيرُ حَوْلَهُ الرِّجَالُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ go out with the funeral of Thabit ibn al-Dahdahah riding a grey horse with white markings on its legs, with no saddle on it, and the people were around him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ dismounted and performed the funeral prayer over him, then he sat until the burial was completed. Then he stood and mounted his horse and rode away, with the men walking around him.'
