حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا وَيَجْلِسُ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ وَيَتْلُو آيَاتٍ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَكَانَتْ خُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَصَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا
English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ used to deliver the khutbah standing and sit between the two khutbahs, recite verses from the Quran, and his khutbah was moderate.
