‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْد اللَّهِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏قَاسِمُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُصْعَبٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمِقْدَامِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏سِمَاكٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏كَانَ ‏ ‏يَقْرَأُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ آيَاتٍ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ وَيُذَكِّرُ النَّاسَ وَكَانَتْ خُطْبَتُهُ ‏ ‏قَصْدًا ‏ ‏وَصَلَاتُهُ ‏ ‏قَصْدًا ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite Quranic verses in his khutbah, admonish the people, and remind them of the days of Allah.
