حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي خَبَّابُ بْنُ الْأَرَتِّ قَالَ إِنَّا لَقُعُودٌ عَلَى بَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ ع
َلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ لِصَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ اسْمَعُوا فَقُلْنَا سَمِعْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ اسْمَعُوا فَقُلْنَا سَمِعْنَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ فَلَا تُعِينُوهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ فَلَنْ يَرِدَ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ
English Translation
It was narrated from Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ came out to them while they were waiting for the Zuhr prayer and said: 'Listen.' They said: 'We are listening.' He said: 'Listen.' He then said: 'There will be rulers over you — do not assist them in their oppression. Whoever affirms their lies will not reach me at the Hawd.'
