Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجُعْفِيُّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ أُبَيٍّ قَالَ لَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الْمِرَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِجِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام إِنِّي بُعِثْتُ إِلَى أُمَّةٍ أُمِّيِّينَ فِيهِمْ الشَّيْخُ الْعَاصِي وَالْعَجُوزَةُ
الْكَبِيرَةُ وَالْغُلَامُ قَالَ فَمُرْهُمْ فَلْيَقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ زِرٍّ عَنْ أُبَيٍّ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَقَالَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ لَقِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام عِنْدَ أَحْجَارِ الْمِرَاءِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ubayy ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Abu al-Mundhir, which verse in the Book of Allah that you have memorized is greatest?' He said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He repeated it. He said: 'Ayat al-Kursi.' He said: 'Rejoice in your knowledge, O Abu al-Mundhir, by the One in whose hand is my soul, it has a tongue and two lips that glorify the Sovereign near the foot of the Throne.'
