حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي بَحِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ م
َعْدَانَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ قَلْبَهُ لِلْإِيمَانِ وَجَعَلَ قَلْبَهُ سَلِيمًا وَلِسَانَهُ صَادِقًا وَنَفْسَهُ مُطْمَئِنَّةً وَخَلِيقَتَهُ مُسْتَقِيمَةً وَجَعَلَ أُذُنَهُ مُسْتَمِعَةً وَعَيْنَهُ نَاظِرَةً فَأَمَّا الْأُذُنُ فَقَمِعٌ وَالْعَيْنُ بِمُقِرَّةٍ لِمَا يُوعَى الْقَلْبُ وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ جَعَلَ قَلْبَهُ وَاعِيًا

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Successful is the one who purifies his heart for faith, makes his heart sound, his tongue truthful, his soul tranquil, and his character upright. He makes his ears attentive and his eyes observant — for the ears are a funnel and the eyes are a receptacle.'
