Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ ي
َزِيدَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ نُعَيْمٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيَّ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ بِالْفُسْطَاطِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ ذِرَاعًا وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَى اللَّهِ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ بَاعًا وَمَنْ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَاشِيًا أَقْبَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ مُهَرْوِلًا وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَى وَأَجَلُّ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَى وَأَجَلُّ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah دلوالله said: "Allah the Exalted says: 'Whoever does one good deed, I will give him ten like it or more. Whoever does one evil deed, its recompense is one like it, or I will forgive him. Whoever draws near to Me a hand's span, I draw near to him an arm's length. Whoever draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom. Whoever comes to Me walking, I come to him at a quick pace. Whoever meets Me with an earthful of sins but does not associate anything with Me, I will meet him with an earthful of forgiveness."
