حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ غَيْلَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَدِيّ
ِ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ الْحِمْصِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِبِلَالٍ أَنْتَ يَا بِلَالُ تُؤَذِّنُ إِذَا كَانَ الصُّبْحُ سَاطِعًا فِي السَّمَاءِ فَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِالصُّبْحِ إِنَّمَا الصُّبْحُ هَكَذَا مُعْتَرِضًا ثُمَّ دَعَا بِسَحُورِهِ فَتَسَحَّرَ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لَا تَزَالُ أُمَّتِي بِخَيْرٍ مَا أَخَّرُوا السَّحُورَ وَعَجَّلُوا الْفِطْرَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet دلوالله said to Bilal: "O Bilal, do not call the adhan when the dawn appears as a rising light in the sky — that is not the dawn. The true dawn appears as a horizontal line." Then he called for his pre-dawn meal and took it. And he used to say: "My nation will remain well as long as they hasten the breaking of the fast and delay the pre-dawn meal."
