حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُهَاجِرًا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ زَيْدَ بْنَ وَهْبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ أَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالظُّهْرِ فَقَالَ الن
َّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبْرِدْ أَبْرِدْ أَوْ قَالَ انْتَظِرْ انْتَظِرْ وَقَالَ إِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا فَيْءَ التُّلُولِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet دلوالله told the one about to call the adhan: "Wait, wait" — or: "Cool down, cool down." He said: "Indeed the intensity of heat is from the breath of Hell, so when the heat is extreme, cool down before praying." Abu Dharr said: "Until we saw the shade of the hillocks."
