English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet دلوالله asked him about where the sun goes. He said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "It goes until it prostrates before its Lord the Exalted, then seeks permission and is granted it. And as if it were told: 'Return to where you came from.' So it will rise from the west. That is its fixed course." Then he recited: "And the sun runs on its fixed course" [Quran 36:38]."
