حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ الْغِفَارِيِّ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ الْغِفَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ اعْقِلْ مَا
أَقُولُ لَكَ لَعَنَاقٌ يَأْتِي رَجُلًا مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا يَتْرُكُهُ وَرَاءَهُ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ اعْقِلْ مَا أَقُولُ لَكَ إِنَّ الْمُكْثِرِينَ هُمْ الْأَقَلُّونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا مَنْ قَالَ كَذَا وَكَذَا اعْقِلْ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا أَقُولُ لَكَ إِنَّ الْخَيْلَ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَوْ إِنَّ الْخَيْلَ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet دلوالله said: "Understand what I say to you, O Abu Dharr — a small goat granted to a Muslim man is better for him than a mountain of gold that he leaves behind. Understand what I say to you, O Abu Dharr — the most wealthy will be the lowest on the Day of Resurrection, except those who give generously in every direction. Understand what I say to you — goodness lies in the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection."
