حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنِ الرُّكَيْنِ عَنِ ال
ْقَاسِمِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي تَارِكٌ فِيكُمْ خَلِيفَتَيْنِ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ حَبْلٌ مَمْدُودٌ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَوْ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَإِنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَتَفَرَّقَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Zaid ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah دلوالله said: "I am leaving among you two successors: the Book of Allah — a rope stretched between the sky and earth — and my family, the people of my household. These two shall not separate until they meet me at the Pond."
