English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ gestured toward something in front of him during prayer. When he turned, the people asked him. He said: 'That was Shaytan — he threw sparks of fire at my feet to distract me from my prayer. I fended him off. Had I caught him, he would have been tied to a pillar of the mosque so that the children of Madinah could go around him.'
