حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَخْطُبُ قَائِمًا وَيَجْلِسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ يَقْرَأُ آيَاتٍ وَيَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَكَانَتْ خُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَصَلَاتُهُ قَصْدًا
English Translation
It was narrated from Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ used to deliver the khutbah standing, then sit, then stand and recite verses and make remembrance of Allah. His khutbah was moderate and his prayer was moderate.
