Hadith #186
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أُسَامَ
ةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قُمْتُ عَلَى بَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِذَا عَامَّةُ مَنْ يَدْخُلُهَا الْفُقَرَاءُ إِلَّا أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ الْجَدِّ مَحْبُوسُونَ إِلَّا أَهْلَ النَّارِ فَقَدْ أُمِرَ بِهِمْ إِلَى النَّارِ وَوَقَفْتُ عَلَى بَابِ النَّارِ فَإِذَا عَامَّةُ مَنْ دَخَلَهَا النِّسَاءُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Usama ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ß said: 'I stood at the gate of Paradise and I saw that the majority of those who entered it were the poor, while the people of wealth were detained. Those destined for the Fire had been ordered into it. I stood at the gate of Hell and saw that the majority of those who entered it were women.'
