حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ سَمِعَ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يَقُولُ أَتَانَا ز
َيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَنَحْنُ فِي حَائِطٍ لَنَا وَمَعَنَا فِخَاخٌ نَنْصِبُ بِهَا فَصَاحَ بِنَا وَطَرَدَنَا وَقَالَ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ صَيْدَهَا

English Translation
It was narrated that Zayd ibn Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) came to some people who were in their garden with traps for catching birds. He called out to them, drove them away, and said: 'Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah ß forbade hunting birds in Madinah?'
