Hadith #90
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ
عَنْ خُلَيْدٍ الْعَصَرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا طَلَعَتْ شَمْسٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا بُعِثَ بِجَنْبَتَيْهَا مَلَكَانِ يُنَادِيَانِ يُسْمِعَانِ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا الثَّقَلَيْنِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ هَلُمُّوا إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ فَإِنَّ مَا قَلَّ وَكَفَى خَيْرٌ مِمَّا كَثُرَ وَأَلْهَى وَلَا آبَتْ شَمْسٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا بُعِثَ بِجَنْبَتَيْهَا مَلَكَانِ يُنَادِيَانِ يُسْمِعَانِ أَهْلَ الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا الثَّقَلَيْنِ اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُنْفِقًا خَلَفًا وَأَعْطِ مُمْسِكًا مَالًا تَلَفًا

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: 'The Messenger of Allah ß said: "No sun ever rises except that two angels are sent alongside it, calling out in a voice that all the inhabitants of the earth can hear except humans and jinn: O people, come to your Lord! What is little but sufficient is better than what is much but distracts from Allah."'
