حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ عَنْ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ
اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُضْحِيَّةً ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا ثَوْبَانُ أَصْلِحْ لَحْمَ هَذِهِ الشَّاةِ قَالَ فَمَا زِلْتُ أُطْعِمُهُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered a sacrifice for himself and then said to him: 'O Thawban, preserve the meat of this sheep.' He said: 'I continued to feed him from it until he arrived in Madinah.'
