Hadith #168
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ قَالَ
قِيلَ لِثَوْبَانَ حَدِّثْنَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَتَكْذِبُونَ عَلَيَّ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَسْجُدُ لِلَّهِ سَجْدَةً إِلَّا رَفَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا دَرَجَةً وَحَطَّ عَنْهُ بِهَا خَطِيئَةً

English Translation
It was narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that it was said to him: 'Narrate to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' He said: 'You will attribute lies to me. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: There is no Muslim who prostrates to Allah except that Allah raises him one degree and removes from him one sin.'
