حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ أُتِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِجِنَا
زَةٍ لِيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ أَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ قَالُوا نَعَمْ دِينَارَانِ قَالَ أَتَرَكَ لَهُمَا وَفَاءً قَالُوا لَا قَالَ صَلُّوا عَلَى صَاحِبِكُمْ قَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ هُمَا عَلَيَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ was brought a funeral to pray over and asked: 'Does he have any debt?' They said: 'Yes, two dinars.' He said: 'Has he left enough to pay them?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'Pray over your companion.' Abu Qatadah said: 'They are my responsibility, O Messenger of Allah.' So the Prophet ﷺ prayed over him.
