Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَ
Body (Matn)
لَى ظَهْرِ بَيْتِنَا فَرَأَى كَوْكَبًا انْقَضَّ فَنَظَرُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو قَتَادَةَ إِنَّا قَدْ نُهِينَا أَنْ نُتْبِعَهُ أَبْصَارَنَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that they were on the roof of a house with him when he saw a shooting star. They looked at it, and Abu Qatadah said: 'We have been forbidden from following it with our eyes.'
