حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي أُمَامَةَ وَهُوَ يَتَفَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَيَدْفِنُ الْقَمْلَ فِي الْحَصَى فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا أُمَامَةَ إِنَّ رَجُلًا حَدَّثَنِي عَنْكَ أَنَّكَ قُلْتَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَسْبَغَ الْوُضُوءَ فَغَسَلَ
يَدَيْهِ وَوَجْهَهُ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ الْمَفْرُوضَةِ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ مَا مَشَتْ إِلَيْهِ رِجْلُهُ وَقَبَضَتْ عَلَيْهِ يَدَاهُ وَسَمِعَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُذُنَاهُ وَنَظَرَتْ إِلَيْهِ عَيْنَاهُ وَحَدَّثَ بِهِ نَفْسَهُ مِنْ سُوءٍ قَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا لَا أُحْصِيهِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever performs wudu properly — washing his hands and face and wiping over his head and ears — then stands for the obligatory prayer, Allah will forgive him on that day whatever his feet walked toward, whatever his hands seized, whatever his ears heard, whatever his eyes saw, and whatever evil he entertained in his heart.' Abu Umamah said: 'By Allah, I heard it from the Prophet of Allah ﷺ more times than I can count.'
