Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا عَرَّسَ بِلَيْلٍ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا عَرَّسَ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ نَصَبَ ذِرَاعَيْهِ وَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ بَيْنَ كَفَّيْهِ
English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped to camp at night during a journey, he would lie on his right side. And when he stopped to camp just before dawn, he would prop up his arm and rest his head on his hand.
