English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr prayer and would let them hear a verse occasionally. He would make the first rak'ah longer and shorten the second. He would also recite in the first two rak'ahs of 'Asr, similarly making the first longer.
