English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Khubayb (may Allah be pleased with him) that darkness and rain fell upon them, and they waited for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to pray for them. When he came out, he took his hand and said: 'Say.' He remained silent, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said again: 'Say.' He asked: 'What should I say?' He ﷺ said: 'Say: He is Allah, the One (Surah al-Ikhlas), and the two Mu'awwidhatayn in the evening and morning, three times — they will suffice you twice each day.'
