حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ شَهْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَل
َيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَضْمَضَ ثَلَاثًا وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ وَكَانَ يَمْسَحُ الْمَاقَيْنِ مِنْ الْعَيْنِ قَالَ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ رَأْسَهُ مَرَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَكَانَ يَقُولُ الْأُذُنَانِ مِنْ الرَّأْسِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ performed wudu, rinsing his mouth three times, inhaling water three times, and washing his face. He would wipe the two corners of his eyes. He said: 'The Prophet ﷺ would wipe his head once. And he used to say: The ears are part of the head.'
