حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ أَ
بِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ عَنْ الْأَنْفَالِ فَقَالَ فِينَا مَعْشَرَ أَصْحَابِ بَدْرٍ نَزَلَتْ حِينَ اخْتَلَفْنَا فِي النَّفْلِ وَسَاءَتْ فِيهِ أَخْلَاقُنَا فَانْتَزَعَهُ اللَّهُ مِنْ أَيْدِينَا وَجَعَلَهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَسَمَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ عَنْ بَوَاءٍ يَقُولُ عَلَى السَّوَاءِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that Abu Umamah al-Bahili asked him about the Spoils of War chapter, and he said: 'It was revealed about us, the people of Badr, when we disagreed about the spoils and our character worsened over them. So Allah took them from our hands and placed them with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who divided them equally among the Muslims.'
