حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الْمَسَائِلَ وَعَابَهَا
English Translation
It was narrated from Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ disliked questions and criticized them. This refers to unnecessary questioning about religious matters and hypothetical scenarios that had not occurred.
