Hadith #87
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ حَدَّثَنَا سَالِمٌ الْبَرَّادُ قَالَ دَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ فَسَأَلْنَاهُ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُصَلِّي بِكُمْ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ فَقَ
امَ فَكَبَّرَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ رَكَعَ فَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَجَافَى بَيْنَ إِبْطَيْهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَامَ حَتَّى اسْتَقَرَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ فَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ وَجَافَى بَيْنَ إِبِطَيْهِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَامَ حَتَّى اسْتَقَرَّ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ هَكَذَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he stood and said takbir and raised his hands. Then he bowed, placing both palms on his knees and holding his arms away from his sides. Then he stood until every part of him settled. Then he prostrated, placing both palms and holding his arms away from his sides. Then he stood until every part of him settled. He then prayed four rak'ahs in this manner.
