Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ يَتَكَفَّلُ لِي
بِوَاحِدَةٍ وَأَتَكَفَّلُ لَهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ قَالَ ثَوْبَانُ أَنَا قَالَ لَا تَسْأَلْ النَّاسَ يَعْنِي شَيْئًا قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ فَكَانَ لَا يَسْأَلُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Who will guarantee me one thing, and I will guarantee him Paradise?' Thawban said: 'I will.' He said: 'Do not ask people for anything.' Thawban said: 'Yes.' And he never asked for anything again.
